Mental Fitness

"Health & Wellness can give your business the competitive advantage but more attention is paid to business plans, marketing etc." Ensure you are prepared for all the mental stress owning your own veteran owned small business can and will bring!"

Mentally fit is one of the most important aspects of business ownership that is truly overlooked.

Remember back in basic all the mental stress you had to go through? One of the reasons was to prepare you for the mental stress of combat. In order to survive on the battlefield mental toughness is a necessity. The same mental toughness is required to start a successful and sustainable veteran owned business.

Deciding to start a veteran owned small business is going to be one of the most stressful things you attempt. This is why it is important that you are sure you are mentally fit for the march ahead!

Physical Fitness

"Starting your veteran owned small business is going to be physically demanding. " Take steps now to ensure you pay attention to your physical health. Remember a "heart attack or stroke" does not care about your monthly sales or business plan!

In order to handle the day to business requirements of small business ownership, it is necessary that you are physically fit as much as possible. Do you remember prior to entering the service, you had to take to a physical exam. The purpose was to ensure you could handle the pyhsical demands of basic training. During basic training there was also a PT test you had to pass.
